Function Health Club: Home of Olympic Weightlifting Excellence

Function Health Club’s Olympic Weightlifting Club is dedicated to mastering the Snatch and Clean & Jerk lifts. Olympic Weightlifting develops explosive power, coordination, balance, and flexibility, making it an excellent training option for enhancing athletic performance in sports like hockey, football, volleyball, and track and field.

The Function Olympic Weightlifting program is overseen by Coach Devin Vowles, an NCCP Level 2 Competition Development Coach and Team Canada athlete, whose expertise ensures world-class coaching for all lifters. Both clubs offer a seamless experience for athletes at all levels, whether you’re new to Olympic lifting or striving to excel in competition.

CEO and founder Caroline Mundell, a former #1 ranked Olympic lifter in BC and Canada and a record holder across multiple divisions, leads the integrative efforts of the program. As Vice President of the BC Weightlifting Association, Caroline is dedicated to advancing Olympic lifting across the province while continuing to inspire lifters through her own journey in the sport.

JUNIOR WEIGHTLIFTING CLUB

Function Health Club’s Junior Olympic Weightlifting Club is for youth ages 7-17 that are interested in either competing in Olympic Weightlifting or increasing their explosive power for other sports such as soccer, basketball, rugby and more!

Our newer athletes start in our Introduction to Weightlifting Program that runs 2 days per week throughout the year. This option is great for both beginners and youth that want to incorporate olympic lifting into their dry land training! Advancing to our competitive junior weightlifting club is assessed on a one to one basis by our Head Coach Devin Vowles.
