FUNCTION KID FIT

Function Kid Fit is a fitness program designed specifically for kids ages 7 – 13 that is designed to be broad, general, and inclusive. Healthy living requires that our kids push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump, effectively & safely regardless of whether or not they play athletics. Functions’ Kid Fit and Youth Fit programs are designed for universal scalability thus we scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of our second graders and our high school athlete differ by degree not kind.

FUNCTION YOUTH FIT

The Function Youth Fit program is a strength and conditioning program focused on training for developing youth between the ages of 14 and 18.  All training programs run on roughly twelve-week blocks during the school year, and four-week blocks during the summer months, with a focus on mastering functional movements, which have a large carry over to sport performance and life.

Throughout our experiences, we have noticed that youth lack basic movement function. These movements are essential and necessary to build a well-rounded and injury free individual. The program is designed to build explosiveness, strength, coordination, and mobility in each youth.  We also build conditioning and endurance to mimic the demands of a given sport they may partake in.

Each session is one hour long and incorporates foundational movements, techniques for weight lifting (squatting, pressing, lifting), and GPP (General Physical Preparedness).  We also work on mental preparation and a positive athletic mindset, which are essential not only for game day but in life.  Our goal is to make every child as strong and prepared as possible.  

Our family of coaches have an extensive body of knowledge—each having a deep understanding of different aspects of fitness.
