Exercises That Develop Muscular Strength - Function Health Club

Exercises That Develop Muscular Strength

Muscular strength is the ability of muscles to apply maximum force in a single repetition, or very few repetitions. Generally 6 reps or less to fatigue.

Training muscular strength is not for the feint of heart. It requires you to be brave and get under a very heavy load. It is recommended that technique in an exercise is mastered before adding a very heavy weight.

The benefits of training strength will be noticeable within the first few months. Everyday activities such as walking up a flight of stairs or opening a heavy door becomes easier. You have extra reserves of strength to tap into when necessary.

Here are just a few of the exercises you can perform to develop muscular strength. This video is part of our BCRPA online Fitness Theory course. If you’re looking to become a personal trainer please visit our website for more information.
